A catch up with sponsored rider Gareth Hughes

We caught up with dressage rider Gareth Hughes to recap over last year and find out what his plans are for 2011!

"2010 was a very successful year with both the young and advanced Horses," he tells us. "The Major success came with Duvie, who is owned by Ann Newton and myself. He had wins at the Festival of the Horse - Inter 1 Freestyle Champion; Somerford PL, Hickstead PL winner; Winner of all Small Tour Classes at Hickstead International; National Champion Inter 1 Freestyle and 2 silver medals at Samuer International in France."

"In 2011 I am aiming both Classic Sandman who is owned by myself and my wife Rebecca, and Duvie for Grand Prix with the Olympics next year in mind," he goes on to tell us. "Also I have some very Talented young horses coming through. Timlie, who is owned by Ann Newton and myself, is a dutch warmblood standing 18.2hh, is aimed for Prix St George. Cruise, owned by Ann Newton and myself, who is a German 7 year old, is aimed for Advanced Med, hoping to be Small Tour next year. Classic Briolinca, owned by Classic Dressage, myself and my wife is a 5 year old dutch warmblood and she will be aimed for the Young Horse Classes."

So a busy year coming up for Gareth! We would like to wish him every success for 2011.
